Dear Mr. Hasman: RE: Your representations regarding “quality” and leaky rotten condos Your website states that “Andrew can ensure that you’ll receive the most accurate, up to date market information to assist you in making an informed decision.” You point out that you are “Vancouver’s #1 Selling Condominium Realtor (excluding project marketing) 1997 – 2000.” You also claim to be “Top 1% of all Vancouver Realtors 1996 – 2000 (out of over 7,000 agents.” Very impressive! We are curious regarding some of your recent representations and advertisements
for properties listed for sale, for example,
Please explain what you mean by the phrases in quotation marks and the basis upon which you make such assertions. We have previously determined that some so-called “reputable” realtors do not verify information provided by developers and owners. We wonder about the accuracy of your statements. Dear Mr. Hasman: RE: Your representations regarding “quality” and leaky rotten condos Further to our previous letter dated January 27, to which we have not received a reply, we now note that you are representing and advertising another property as follows: 413-789 West 16th Avenue / 2Bedroom & Den top Floor / Quality Built complex by United Properties. / …This ones a winner and won’t last! What do you mean when you say “Quality Built complex by United Properties”? Have you checked our Leaky rotten Condo List available at www.myleakycondo.com? Did you know that United Properties has built a large number of leaky rotten condos? Did you know that 789 West 16th is on COLCO’s List? We have found that condos built by United Properties are not “quality built,” and that they are not winners, and that, indeed, they “won’t last” without costly building envelope repairs and improvements. Please explain your representations regarding 789 West 16th Ave. and
United Properties.
